Financial stewardship is an essential life skill in the modern society. With every aspect of life at least indirectly associated with money, it is a skill every Christian should be equipped with. Even as ministers address issues associated with the heart and soul, Christians have to be equipped with the relevant skills in order to manage their money well. That involves:

• The mind – knowledge on how to stewards one’s personal finances well
• Strength – practical application of the principles of Christian financial stewardship

 

Good financial stewardship enables us to bless our families, church and society. With our financial house in order, we are free to pursue meaningful endeavours – serving God, spending time with our family, and engaging with social concerns. Through our contributions, whether financially, in kind or through our efforts, we are able to play our part in fulfilling our calling as salt and light of the world.

 

Like many other skills in life, financial stewardship has to be learned. Building on the firm foundation of Scripture, we will present the practical aspects of personal finance, including saving, insuring, investing, and giving.
